Since I have not done a news post in a while, I will be giving the news from the past week of the news which I did not cover.
Colby Cave

As some of you might remember I wrote about Colby Cave and how he was put into a medically induced coma because of a brain bleed. It was announced, on Saturday morning, that he sadly past away. Many of his former team mates and coaches have spoken out to admire his amazing qualities. Some stories came out about how he gave each of the team staff a hug every time he was called up to the NHL. Coaches explain how he was a great leader and he never complained about anything. Our hearts and prayers go out to his wife and his family. He was only 25 years old.
Arizona Coyotes

The Arizona Coyotes have signed prospect Cameron Crotty to a three year entry level contract. Crotty is a defenseman who was picked in the third round of the 2017 draft by the Coyotes. He has most recently played for Boston University and has had 9 points in 30 games for the squad.
Ottowa Senators
The Sens had multiple signings over the past week so here is the breakdown.
Mark Kastelic

Kastelic was signed to a three year entry level contract by the Senators. He was a recent pick by the Sens, being picked in the fifth round of the 2019 draft. Kastelic has spent this past season playing center for the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL, recording 68 points in 58 games.
Jonathan Aspirot

Aspirot is signing a three year entry level contract with the Ottawa Senators. This undrafted defenseman has most recently played for the Senators affiliate team, the Belleville Senators of the AHL, recording 16 points in 44 games for the team.
Kevin Mandolese

Mandolese was the last signing for the Senators this week, and he too signed a three year entry level contract. Mandolese is a goaltender that was selected in the sixth round of the 2018 draft by the Sens, and has had a 2.33 goals against average and a .925 save percentage with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the QMJHL this season.
Los Angeles Kings
The Kings have had multiple signings as well and they will also be broken down.
Kurtis MacDermid

MacDermid has signed a two year contract extension with the Kings with an average annual value of $875,000. The defenseman has recently played 45 games this season, for the Kings, and has recorded 8 points in that span.
Cole Hultz

The Kings have also signed, defensive prospect, Cole Hultz to a two year entry level contract. Hultz was originally selected in the fifth round of the 2017 draft, by Los Angeles, and has come up with 30 points in 34 games for Penn. State University.
Chicago Blackhawks
The Hawks have also signed a couple of players as well this week.
Michal Teply

Teply, a left wing from the Czech Republic, has signed a three year entry level contract with the Blackhawks. He was originally drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 draft by the Hawks, and has scored 63 points in 53 games this season for the Winnipeg Ice of the WHL.
Ian Mitchell

Mitchell has also signed a three year entry level contract with Chicago. Arguably Chicago's top prospect, Ian Mitchell was originally picked in the second round of the 2017 draft, and has recorded 32 points in 36 games as the captain of the University of Denver hockey team.
Kris Versteeg

Forward Kris Versteeg has announced that he is retiring from professional hockey. The 33 year old has most recently played with the Calgary Flames in 2018, and has spent the rest of his NHL career on teams such as the Chicago Blackhawks (where he won a Stanley Cup), Toronto Maple Leafs, Philadelphia Flyers, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, and Los Angeles Kings. He has totaled 358 points in 643 games throughout his time in the NHL.
Dale Hawerchuck

On Monday, former NHL forward, Dale Hawerchuck, finished his final round of chemotherapy. Hawercuck was coaching the Barrie Colts, of the Ontario Hockey League, at about the time he found out about his stomach cancer in late 2019. We all hope that Dale makes a complete and easy recovery.
Covid-19 News
Anaheim Ducks

The spouses of all of the Anaheim Ducks players, and of course the players themselves, have decided to purchase 200 meals per day and send them to hospital workers helping the people plagued by the coronavirus. They have partnered up with several Southern California restaurants to donate catered meals to these workers in need.
Ottawa Senators

The Senators have announced yesterday that they have set up the Shielding Heros campaign. This campaign will look to raise $500,000 to provide medical equipment to health care workers in order to help them fight Covid-19 with the right tools and protection.
To anyone who reads my posts thank you so much. Again, I cannot post for a couple of days, so I hope to keep writing and be more consistent in the days that follow.
