Joel Ward

Former NHL forward, Joel Ward, has announced his retirement from the NHL after eleven seasons in the league. Ward has spent that time with the Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, Washington Capitols, and San Jose Sharks (where he spent his last season in 2017-2018). He has recorded 304 points in 726 regular season games and has had 52 points in 85 playoff games.
Chicago Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks have fired president and CEO John McDonough. McDonough has been the Blackhawks president since 2007 and has been with the team for their amazing three cup run. Hawks vice president, Danny Wirtz, will be the interim replacement for McDonough's roles.
Calgary Flames

The Flames have signed prospect Mathias Emilio Pettersen to a three year entry level contract. The Norwegian center was drafted in the sixth round of the 2018 NHL draft, and has most recently put up 35 points, for the University of Denver, in 36 games.
